About

With this Cobra, specific things were made/installed for a particular purpose. The rear is a Independent Rear Suspension, with an aluminum differential housing. The differential housing is the carrier of Ford Racing 3.73 Gears (3.27 stock). The reason for 3.73 gears was because loss of traction of a concern, and 3.73 gears are one of the most optimum gear ratios for Open Track and Autocross racing. The rearend is matched with Eibach Springs, Bilstein Shocks, Steeda IRS Bushings, & 03 Cobra IRS Brace. The more intense suspension parts that were installed was the HANS Racecraft X System Custom Rollcage, HANS Racecraft Tubular Rear Shock Tower Brace & HANS Racecraft Force Tubular Subframe Connectors.

The Front suspension currently has a new Maximum Motorsports Bilstein Coilover Set with 355lb. Hypercoil Springs. The front is where a lot of the mustangs get their lack of handling from, caused by the 55/45 weight ratio. The front is very heavy, so adding the front coilover setup really would stiffen up that front end and killed a lot of front end movement. A FRPP 00R Front Airdam was added for aerodynamics.

The engine had the Intake manifold ported/polished to add better and more efficient airflow. That modification was combined with a Custom Cold Air Intake setup (including parts from BBK and K&N). Then that was combined with a Pro-M 80mm Mass Air Meter to add a more efficient air reading.

The exhaust choice only had one option, Bassani. Bassani manufacturers some of the very best exhaust products on the market. This Cobra's exhaust combination included the Bassani Street Competition Catback, and the Bassani Offroad Xpipe. There were two options from Bassani for the Catback, the Street Competition and the Quiet Thunder. The Street Competition version of what catback of choice.
